Inspired by a passage in the Palahniuk novel Haunted I exhibited this drawing as part of an Open Studio show. I was surprised by the reaction it got which was unexpectedly warm, particularly by one man. Looking back at it now I’m less unnerved by it then I was at the time and am considering doing a series of works based on the Cassandra’s story I can’t recommend this novel enough – best known for the legendary reception to the short story Guts, I think there is so, so much more to talk about in the book as a whole and wish it weren’t quite so eclipsed by discussions about that story.
